You Heard it Where?: Spoon
Sure, so I may have mentioned that you can hear a lot of Spoon’s music on Stranger than Fiction, but where else may you have heard this awesome band? (Besides Lollapalooza the other day, which is where this picture is from!) You’re in luck, because I’m about to tell you, guys and gals!
- “The OC” has actually featured a lot of music from this Austin, Texas band. If you’re an avid viewer of this oh-so-guilty-pleasure show, you may have heard “Banquet,” “I Turn My Camera On,” “Sister Jack,” or “The Way We Get By.” Someone involved in choosing the music is a big fan. That’s my best guess.
- Besides Britt Daniel’s cameo on “Veronica Mars,” they’ve also played Spoon’s music, including “Don’t Let It Get You Down,” “I Summon You,” and “I Turn My Camera On.”
- If you haven’t seen the movie Waiting yet, you really need to. That being said, you can also hear “Don’t Let It Get You Down” on this fabulous movie, if you’re not a fan of Veronica Mars, or you just want to hear the song placed in a show again. Either case, this is where you should go.
- “I Turn My Camera On” has also been featured on Bones and Friday Night Lights.
- “I Summon You” has been on the hilarious show that is Scrubs. Great TV show and great song, so it’s just too perfect, yes?
