You Heard it Where?: India.Arie

by Sammi Dittloff on August 25th, 2007

I knew you couldn’t just live with India’s CDs, and you know what? Now you don’t have to. Here are some other places you can enjoy her melodious voice…

  • Radio: Arie performed three songs for this movie: “Eyes of the Heart”, “Never So Alone,” and “Radio’s Day.” The movie is so heartwarming and her voice adds to the tenderness, most def.
  • If you like the song “Good Man,” you can catch it on the soundtrack to We Were Soldiers. If you know the song, this makes perfect sense, because it’s all about a man who leaves for war. Good stuff.
  • You can even find India on the soundtrack to SharkTale. “Get it Together” is on the soundtrack.
  • Bamboozled: This 2000 Spike Lee film featured a lot of Motown artists, India.Arie included. The songs you can find in the movie are “In My Head,” “Back to the Middle,” “God in You,” “Can I Walk With You,” “Promises,” and “Strength, Courage, and Wisdom.” Whew. That’s a lot of songs. That should be worth it enough to see that movie.
  • Think Miami Vice doesn’t have a soft side? Think again. “Ready for Love” was in the movie. Who knew?
  • You can also find India’s music on some TV shows. Crossing Jordan had the song “Get it Together,” and Brothers and Sisters played “The Heart of the Matter,” which is a great cover that I’ll probably be talking about tomorrow.

Alright kiddies, enjoy your Saturday! Comment/email, I’d love that!
