Trivia Tuesday: Spoon

Britt Daniel, the lead singer/guitarist, had a cameo on the show Veronica Mars. I thought you needed to know.
The name of the band was chosen to honor the German avant-garde band Can whose song “Spoon” was a hit and the theme song to the movie Das Messer.
Spoon has been no stranger to the late-night talk show circuit, playing for David Letterman, Craig Ferguson, Carson Daly, and they’ve also been on Austin City Limits, a favorite PBS show of mine.
Some bands Spoon has been influenced by: Elvis Costello, Pixies, The Modern Lovers, Pavement, Gang of Four, The Sound, Wire, Nirvana. With a list like that, how can you resist listening to them?
