Trivia Tuesday: Lily Allen

Second only to Songs of Note Sunday, Trivia Tuesday holds that oh-so-special place in my heart, and what a time to talk about the oh-so-special Lily Allen. Here’s all the trivia you could want and more, coming to you from Lily Allen’s official website, Wikipedia, and CelebrityWonder.com…

This first bit of trivia is basically me begging you to watch Lily Allen’s video cover of “Oh My God” with Mark Ronson. Click here now and you can thank me later! She is animated and it’s super hot, seriously.
You’re probably thinking to yourself, “You know, I really like this Lily Allen character, but what kind of music does she really like?” Here are some of her favorites: Blondie, Ragga, T-Rex (which I believe is her ultimate favorite), Squeeze, Scissor Sisters, The Clash, The Slits, TLC, and The Streets. As you can see, many different kinds of influences to make a very diverse sound.

Allen’s single, “Smile,” hit #1 on the U.K. Charts in July of 2006.
Here’s hoping you didn’t buy Paris Hilton’s CD, because if you did, Lily Allen wants you “killed off.” Sorry…
She was born Lily Rose Beatrice Allen. Two middle names. That’s awesome.
The song “Alfie” is based on Allen’s younger brother, Alfie Owen-Allen.

If you’re a fan of The Sims, purchase yourself a copy of The Sims 2: Seasons. You will hear a Simlish version of the single, “Smile.” Thank YouTube for this great clip.
