- Sleepwalk: I know this is a pretty standard song, but I love the way that Brian Setzer does it. I have yet to slow-dance with a guy to this song, but it’s something that I want to do (guys take note, it would be a very cute surprise!) Once again, like sad songs, I feel much less corny dancing slow to music like this than to, say, The Backstreet Boys. I’m sure you understand. Anyway, this is a very beautiful version of “Sleepwalk” with awesome guitar solos, so give it a listen!
- Switchblade 327: You can’t not feel like a badass when listening to this song. It’s impossible. “Switchblade 327, lit cigarette in his hand/Steel-toed boots on the accelerator, oil leakin’ out of the can” Drive down the road listening into this, and even if you have a square car like mine, you’ll feel like you’re driving in a vintage Mustang or something of the like. I know nothing about cars, sorry…
- Jump Jive An’ Wail: This just makes me think of elementary school, chalk another song up to nostalgia, right? But, seriously, this was the start of the swing/big band craze of the late 90’s when I was growing up, so it was a pretty significant song. Brian Setzer knows how to bring stuff back and make it huge, without a doubt. This was the song where we first experimented with our own swing move, and we thought were were just too cool doing them. Oh, the memories…
