So, Maybe We’re All A Little Guilty…
…and maybe everyone at b5’s music channel decided to write about their guilty pleasures. Needless to say, I felt a lot better after I was done reading. Here are some places to check out, and then take a shower to clean off those dirty, guilty, shameful feelings…
So, any list that ends with “Baby Got Back” is alright in my book. Arjun at The Good Musician has provided this for me, and also links all the songs to YouTube. Check it out here! [The Good Musician]
My personal favorite on Bruce of “Our Digital Music”’s site? Probably “Sunshine on My Shoulder” by John Denver. Take a look at the rest of the list, especially if you enjoy newer country songs! [Our Digital Music]
There are those songs that you can only listen to with headphones on, because they are that shameful….yeah. Scott over at “Metal Martyr” has “10 Headset Songs” to share. My pick from this list: “Don’t Know Why” by Norah Jones. Most of the songs on this list are only embarrassing if you claim to be a huge Metal fan. Otherwise, they’re not half bad. [Metal Martyr]
“She Plays Music” has got videos embedded on her blog, so you can watch the videos to her “Top 10 Guilty Pleasure Songs” with zero hassle. Which video did I watch, you may ask? Kelly Clarkson’s “Walk Away.” Aaand I may or may not have watched “Walking on Sunshine,” too. [She Plays Music]
Jennifer at “Hippie Sounds” really had to search herself for these songs….allegedly. Her post, entitled “When you’re this cool it’s hard to think of ten embarrassing songs you like,” displays her not-so-cool side. But come on, everyone loves Journey. [Hippie Sounds]
Here’s someone who listed the same song as me: Dido’s “Thank You.” However, that will be on my Thanksgiving post, and not a guilty pleasure. For Dave at Brit Music Scene, however, this song is more than one with “Thank” in the title, it’s a cherished track. The song I actually like on this list: Daniel Bedingfield’s “If You’re Not The One.” Played that on my piano many a time. [Brit Music Scene]
Whether you know it or not, you probably have an Aussie guilty pleasure, and Lauren at Oz Music Scene makes us frighteningly aware of this. Human Nature’s “You’ve Got it Going On,” wow. Really took me…somewhere. [Oz Music Scene]
Mike, our glorious channel editor and writer for “Big Apple Music Scene,” brings us “10 Songs To Listen To….when you’re alone.” I think I actually love every song on my list, and I can’t think of a school dance when I didn’t scream/belt to Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone,” but I probably like The Cardigans “Love Fool.” I really really love that song. Really. [Big Apple Music Scene]
Last but not least, Roberta at “earsucker” brings us 10 songs she listens to in her car, alone. I couldn’t pick anything but All American Rejects in “Dirty Little Secret.” One of mine, sadly. [earsucker]
Like I said, maybe we’re all a little bit guilty. That’s what makes music fun.
