- Sound: Indie at its very best and brightest, they pull off a sound that is upbeat yet melancholy, the way only indie can do. Very poppy, and pretty much any indie band that has a female singer has the opportunity to be insanely badass in my mind. Look at a band like Rilo Kiley. A girl can add that pain that a male would just make emo to an indie band, because they’re so good at fronting all the time, it’s what girls do. Anyway, not to get too deep, but this is a place where those talents are put to good use.

- You May Remember Them From Such Songs As: “Calendar Girl” from the album Set Yourself on Fire was the first song I ever heard, so maybe it’s one you’ve heard too. “Ageless Beauty” was also incredibly popular. Otherwise, one of their songs was played on Degrassi: The Next Generation, if I remember correctly, it was “Your Ex-Lover is Dead.” Any other songs you may have heard first, feel free to post it here!
