  • Name of Band: Barenaked Ladies (or BNL as they are affectionately called since people don’t have time to sit and talk at length anymore)
  • Sound: It’s like what your best guy friends would sound like if they got together just for laughs to play at some random party that you planned at the last minute…except they know what they’re doing. And they’re damn good at what they do. BNL has covered multiple genres, from the folk sound in their early days to the children’s music that they are just putting out. They’re constantly changing and evolving and trying new things, so while they might not have as specific as a signature sound like some other bands, there is still that certain something that they have where you can always tell it’s them.
  • Location: Toronto, Canada
  • Band Members:
    • Steven Page - Lead Vocals/Guitar
    • Jim Creeggan - Vocals/Bass
    • Ed Robertson - Lead Vocals/Acoustic and Electric Guitar
    • Kevin Hearn - Vocals/Guitar/Keyboards/Accordian
    • Tyler Stewart - Vocals/Drums
  • Official Website: bnlmusic.com
  • MySpace: myspace.com/barenakedladies
  • You May Remember Them From Such Songs As…: Hmm, well, “One Week” was insanely popular, or maybe you remember “If I Had A Million Dollars,” perchance? “Pinch Me” was also pretty big, and “Too Little Too Late.” If you’re a fan of the Mighty Ducks trilogy, maybe the song “Grade 9″ will ring a few bells. Regardless, they’ve had a lot of hits, and chances are, you’ve heard at least three of their songs whether you know it or not.
  • Next Performance: Nothing planned right now, but they’re releasing a new CD on the 5th of May, so umm maybe that means they’ll be getting new tour dates soon? Probably? Alright!
