Need 120 More Musicians For Your Office Party?
Normally I would call you crazy, and if you were in my house, throw you out and scream, “And don’t come back until you get your head on straight!”
Lucky for you, asking me for a list of 120 more musicians for an office party at this particular moment will, in fact, not elicit this sort of response. I have a legitimate answer for you, so it is definitely your day! Below you’ll find links to the many other b5 blogs where they have listed their office favorites…
Our Digital Music has got a great list going, Leonard Cohen being Bruce’s number one and the favorite of mine on the list.
Crooner Culture includes the Rat Pack on their list…I strongly approve!
Metal Martyr has done things the other way around, making a list of people he wouldn’t want to invite. I suppose that’s how my list could be construed as well, at least for everyone else at the party.
Industrial Addiction provides a list of 10 and then a bunch of other honorable mentions, a lot that I haven’t heard of, but I remember hearing and liking Skinny Puppy, and I suppose now I have a gigantic list to listen through. Thanks!
Hippie Sounds This list could add some green to any party….and really be the opposite of a traditional office make-up, which could make for some interesting water cooler talks come Monday.
The Rock Dose has Ozzy Osbourne on the list, which I’m sad didn’t come to me. Great for shaking things up. Maybe he’ll bite the head off a bobble-head doll that someone in logistics has on their desk.
Oz Music Scene: Okay, so when I see The Wiggles and The Veronicas on the same guest list, I know I’ve found someone that thinks like me. Very nicely done.
New Age Vibe adds Yanni to their list…although this leaves me conflicted, I’m sure someone out there can appreciate a New Age feel to their office party. (I get the image in my head that your entire office turns into an elevator, but that’s coming from a young raucous rock and roll fan, so no offense is meant by this image)
Ear Sucker puts Lily Allen, one of my personal favorite new artists, on her list, and the rest are all worth a look and listen as well.
The Good Musician decided not to pretend like I did, and instead lists the 10 artists he’d like to have at a college party. Funny, the office Christmas party was inspired by me going to a college frat party themed like an office party. Sometimes life goes full-circle…
Hip Hop Roll has invited a bunch of rappers for an ‘instant party.’ Good way to shake up all those guys close to retirement.
Toronto Unplugged uses traditional rock and roll ideology, talking of the benefits of rockers, alcohol, and egos.
And, last but not least, 52 Bands, my very own blog, has a great list as well.
Check them all out, comment, add lists of your own! Make your office party what you want it to be!
