Man Man and Showtime’s “Weeds”….Two of My Favorite Things

The season of Weeds?: 3.
The episode?: 8.
The intro?: “Little Boxes,” of course, but this time, sung by Man Man.
My mind?: Totally blown. Out of the park.
You’d think the amazingness of the music would stop there, but no, dear readers, no way, no how. In the half hour it takes for Weeds to tell another nail-biting or belly-laughing story, they squeezed in “10 lb. Moustache,” “Engrish Bwudd,” and “Feathers,” on top of the great “Little Boxes” cover. Nothing says dark comedy and biting irony like a song like “Engrish Bwudd.” This was definitely one of my favorite episodes for the music alone.
With that said, Weeds has featured a generous amount of righteous tune-age over the years, and has yet to disappoint, at least, I think so. To get a taste of other music played on the show, check out this site…
Okay, so I know this was a wee bit of a random post, but Weeds is an outstanding show. I saw my opportunity to bring it up whilst talking up Man Man, and I went for it. Sue me.
