Coming Up Next: The Strokes
Alright, so I’ve waited long enough to mention them, and now I have to. One of my all-time favorite bands, The Strokes, is definitely worth mentioning and discussing this coming up week. Be prepared to see a “Songs of Note” posting for The Sounds soon, and then, shortly after, I’ll be starting my Strokes postage. Start thinking about comments you may want to post about this band.
I’ve been into The Strokes since my freshman year of high school, and really haven’t left the obsession since. Some have argued that they have still not been able to top their first album, but to me, I’ve heard three different sounds from three different albums, all good in their own right, and I’ll be sure to talk about that later in the week. Although I already featured Albert Hammond Jr., I’ll probably blog a bit about his solo career, just an update, and then the plans in the future for The Strokes, if any, as a result of this. So yeah, good times, I’m way excited, you should be too.
