Coming Up Next: Chuck Berry
Alright, so this isn’t something I was sure that I’d do, but since October came and the mood struck me, I suppose it’s what I’ll be doing. Yes, I realize that it’s good to know about new artists and stay informed about the latest trends, who’s coming up in music, all that. Perhaps if there are a couple artists that I hear sometime soon and freak over, I’ll even make a couple random posts here. However, I feel that there is so much that needs to be learned from artists that came a long time ago and changed music as we know it so that it can be appreciated the way it is today.
Therefore, October will be my Oldies month, but not Oldies in the sense of something like Perry Como or whatevertheheck your grandparents listen to, but the classics. The awesome artists from way back when that made music so exciting, so revolutionary.
First on the agenda for the month of October is Chuck Berry. I have a rockabilly radio station, so I figured I should start with a rockabilly artist. (I may do all rockabilly artists, I haven’t decided yet). Anyway, after all the Martha Wainwright posts, this is what is coming up, so look out for a month filled with good old things that you need to know about in order to appreciate today’s music!
