Be Your Own Pet: Relating A Band To My New Tattoo….Can I Do It?

No lie, I just wanted to do this so that I could brag about my new tattoo….I really love it. Anyway, I think I’ve figured out a way to relate it. My current tattoo says: “На всех не угоди́шь,” which is basically Russian for “You can’t please everyone.” Underneath it, I’m planning on having a sunrise over the ocean with birds flying around it (thus the picture), which in Russian prisons symbolized freedom. So, you see, the tattoo and the picture will mean in conjunction that I am feeling freedom from worry about what other people think.

What does any of this have to do with Be Your Own Pet? Well, I’ll tell you. Jemina Pearl is honestly my new idol. She sings in a way that proves she’s not there to please anyone, and the band just sings about anything they want to, while still keeping it all relevant. A perfect example of a song to match my tattoo is “Bitches Leave,” a song about a girl that comes backstage thinking she’s all that but is really stupid and annoying. I hate dealing with these kinds of people, and lately, I feel like I’ve run into particular personalities that I just can’t please…so instead of trying to please them, I’d rather them just not be in my space. For, you see, you can’t please everyone.

Things are pretty in new Detroit/So go ahead, and get to the point/There’s nothing up my sleeve/Take a hint, bitches leave.”

So, how’d I do?
